RUTHVEN – Ruthven-Ayrshire’s Raiders came up on the wrong end of a 69-42 decision at the hands of Harris-Lake Park Friday night in boys basketball action.

The Raiders got off to a slow start against the Wolves, trailing 17-7 after the opening quarter of play, as a full-court press by the Wolves through the first half of the contest bothered the Raiders through the first two quarters. However, Ruthven-Ayrshire managed to match the Wolves bucket-wise in the second quarter to cut their deficit to 37-21 at the intermission.

Ruthven-Ayrshire would continue to struggle somewhat against the pressure defense in the third quarter and trailed 31-53 to start the final quarter before finishing out the contest with ah 69-42 final tally.

Dylan Smith led the Raiders with 14 points, while Colton Bakken picked up the double-double with 11 points and 12 boards with three blocks. Trevin Enderson added nine points and Carter William-son chipped in six points and Kyle Toillion added a two-point bucket.

Trevin Enderson made a pair of steals and dished out four assists, while Dylan Smith and Colyn Johnson both grabbed six rebounds.

“Harris-Lake Park’s defensive pressure really bothered us,” noted RA?Head Coach Randy Hough. “We still have to do a much better job of taking care of the basketball in games. We just had too many unforced turnovers.”
