Lady E-Hawks Close Out Regular Season

CHEROKEE – The regular season came to a close Tuesday night for Emmetsburg’s Lady E-Hawks in a 3-1 loss to Cherokee in volleyball action. Game scores were 23-25, 18-25, 25-23 and 23-25.

For the Lady E-Hawks, Tuesday’s effort saw Morgan Vlasman connect on 21 of 32 hits with 10 kills, along with five digs. Nicole Leuer added 25 of 30 hits with seven kills and an assisted block. Leuer added 21 digs to the effort, and made all eight of her serving attempts on the night.

Paige Naig made 14 of 14 serves and connected on 26 of 29 hits with eight kills. Naig had two solo blocks and two assisted blocks, while digging out four shots and handing out one assist.

Chelsey rouse made 11 of 11 hits with five kills and assisted on two blocks, while dishing out two assists and digging out two shots.

Nikki Schany was perfect at the serving line, making 17 of 17 serves with one ace, and adding five digs and one assist.

Miranda Vlasman added 12 of 18 hits with three kills and assisted on two blocks at the net.

Molli Schmeling would make 15 of 16 serving attempts on the night and added five digs, while Hannah Drost completed 12 of 12 serves and made one hit, while assisting on one block, and digging out four shots while handing out 14 assists to her teammates.

Halie Cody also made 12 of 12 serves and collected one ace, while making one hit, digging out four shots and handed out 16 assists to her teammates on the night.

Hillary Pico would round out the effort for Emmetsburg on the night with 11 of 11 serves and one ace, along with 20 digs in the match.
