Ruthven-Ayrshire Picks Up Satisfying Homecoming Victory
RUTHVEN – It was a happy Homecoming for the Ruthven-Ayrshire Raiders Friday night as they earned a 24-16 victory over Corwith-Wesley-LuVerne in Eight-man District Two action. The win improves the Raiders to a mark of 3-3 overall and 2-2 in the district campaign.
The Raiders would come up with three big touchdowns, two of which came from the quarterback’s position as Trevin Enderson would rush for the scores. The third touchdown came from Kyle Toillion who would end up leading Ruthven-Ayrshire’s rushing attack with 104 yards off 29 rushes.
Trevin Enderson would carry the ball 11 times for 69 yards in the contest, while Cory Jordan added 22 yards off five rushing attempts and Michael Sundall added 13 yards off three carries.
Trevin Enderson would attempt seven passes in the contest and completed one throw for 30 yards, with Brandon Smith making the lone reception.
Overall, Ruthven-Ayrshire would generate 208 yards of rushing offense off 48 plays and 30 yards of passing for a total offensive effort of 238 yards.
Defensively, the Raiders got 21 tackles from Colton Bakken, while Kyle Toillion made 18 stops in the effort. Carter Williamson and Grant Rehan both made 13 tackles in the game, with Damon Morris recovering one fumble for the Raiders.
The Raiders hit the road this Friday when they travel to Swea City to take on North Sentral Kossuth.
