Swimmers Earn Split At Boone

The Algona High School Girls swim team traveled to Boone on Tuesday night for a double duel with Boone and Perry.

They lost to Boone 35-59 and beat Perry 57-35.   Against Perry first went to  Nicole Kenne in the 200 and 500 free style, Hannah Priest in the 100 free, Missy Zadow in the 100 breast stroke and the 200 Free Relay team of Zadow, Schacherer,Williams and Priest.

Against Boone first went to Alyssa Williams in the 100 Butterfly and 100 back stroke. The 400 relay team of Schacherer,Kenne, Za-dow and Priest won it all beating both Boone and Perry. 

"The girls took control of the race early and just kept extending their lead.  They won by 27 seconds which was great." according to Coach Jim Fisher.  "On the night of the 22 events we raced in, the girls improved their time in 19 of the events from last week.  This shows them that the harder they work the faster they get."
