E-Hawk Cross Country Runners Compete At ELC Invitational
ESTHERVILLE – Another good day for running saw the Emmetsburg girls and boys cross country teams compete at the Estherville Lincoln Central Invitational on Tuesday. The E-Hawk boys earned a seventh place finish in the team race, while the Lady E-Hawks would earn eighth place in the team standings.
For the Lady E-Hawks, Taylor Reimer would lead the effort with a time of 18:07, good for 35th place. Hadley Egland earned 42nd place with a time of 19:06 and Kirsti Wurzer was 49th with her time of 19:58.
Rachel Ruddy finished with a time of 21:43, good for 54th place, while Maddison Reimer was a tick behind in 55th place with a 21:57 effort and Veronika Schoerner would finish 56th in a time of 21.59.
The E-Hawk boys had two runners finish in the top twenty, paced by Allen Dunnick with his 18:56 effort, good for 17th place. Zach Overburg was just three ticks behind with an 18:59 effort, good for 18th place in the event.
Austin Dunnick would finish 41st with a time of 21.24, while Chad Loomis was 44th in a time of 21:54 and Max Jones finished 46th with his 22:07 clocking.
Emmetsburg will host its own Invitational next Monday, Sept. 13, at the Five Island Golf Course. Action will begin at 4:30 p.m.
