NW?Iowa Football Camp Starts This Monday

The month of August signals the start of football season throughout the area. A tradition of the month of August will continue starting this Monday, August 2, with the annual Northwest Iowa Football Camp.

The Northwest Iowa Football Camp will be offered for both Middle School and High School athletes over four days, Aug. 2-5. The camp will be conducted at the Emmetsburg High School Athletic field.

The Middle School camp, open to all boys in grades six through eight, will operated from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. each morning. The High School camp, for athletes in ninth through twelfth grades, will meet from 6 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. each evening at the high school.

The Northwest Iowa Football camp feature offensive instruction  for quarterbacks, running backs, receivers and linemen, as well as defensive instruction for defensive secondary players, ends, interior linemen and linebacks. Instruction for specialties, such as kicking, punting, extra points, field goals and center snaps is also offered during both camps.

Instructors for the Northwest Iowa Football Camps will include several members of the Emmetsburg E-Hawk Football Coaching Staff, including Head Coach Mike Dunlap and Assistant Coach Joe Carter, along with E-Hawk Assistant Coaches Bruce Nelson and Brett Hanson, as well as E-Hawk Sophomore Football Coach Dave Fog and E-Hawk Freshman Football Coach Tyler Beving.
