By Staff | Jun 8, 2010

The Emmet Co. ISU Scholarship Committee is gearing up for this year’s fundraising activities to help support this yearly scholarship.  The community is invited to show their support in various ways on Saturday, June 26 at the Country Greens Golf Course in Armstrong, Iowa.

In the past, the golf tournament has served as the major fundraiser for this scholarship.  New this year will be an Emmet Co. ISU 5K Walk/Run for Scholarships, on Saturday, June 26, prior to the golf tournament tee off.  The 5K registration will be held at the Country Greens Golf Course Clubhouse in Armstrong from 7:00-7:45 a.m.  The race will start and finish in front of the clubhouse and will wind through the beautiful 9-hole course.  Prizes will be awarded in each age group.  Age groups will be 13 years and under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49 and 50 and over.  Pre-registrations received prior to June 15 will ensure everyone a t-shirt for both the 5K and golf team participants.
