Wolverines Continue To Show Improvement In Outing
WEST?BEND – The Wolverines of West Bend-Mallard/Twin River Valley competed Tuesday night in the Southern Cal Co-Ed meet and finished in tenth place overall in the boys’ division, but continued to show positive results.
“This was a very tough meet for us, team scoring wise,”?noted WBM/TRV?Head Coach Jerry Vanderhorst, “But, our 4×800 and Medley relays both ran their best times so far this season. We have shown improvement in just about every race we’ve run, which is good to see.”
On Tuesday, the Wolverines got a second place finish from the Medley Relay, as the foursome of Ethan Fehr, Logan Streit, Tanner Bruellman and Jack Riesenberg would turn in a time of 3:57.23 to win the runner-up honors in the race.
The Wolverines’ 4×800 relay, with members Jack Riesenberg, Kurt Banwart, Dustin Johnson and Aaron Montag, would finish the event with a time of 9:16.80, which was good for a fourth place finish.
Rounding out the finishes for the Wolverines on Tuesday night was Jared Hauck in the 3200 meter run, as he turned in a time of 12:11.2 to earn a sixth place finish.
Also finishing sixth on the night was Tanner Bruellman in the 400 meter dash, as he finished in a time of :56.0.
The West Bend-Mallard/Twin River Valley Wolverines will run Friday night in the Class 1A District track meet at Laurens.
