WBM Earns Second In Boys Conference Golf Meet, Kinghts Fifth, Raiders Earn Ninth Place Honors

The Cornbelt Conference Golf crown goes to NorthSentral Kossuth’s boys  following the league tournament on Monday. ?

West Bend-Mallard would earn second place in the team race, with Graettinger/Terril placing fifth in the team standings and Ruthven-Ayrshire finishing ninth.

First Team All Conference honors went to West Bend Mallard’s Ryan Banwart and Anthony Bruellman, while Jake Goodchild and Greg Mader were named to the Second Team.

Graettinger/Terril had Blaze Alesch, Ryan Schany and Cody Dyhrkopp earn Second Team honors, while Ryan Sikora earned Third Team honors for Ruthven-Ayrshire.

Ryan Banwart of West Bend Mallard earned the runner-up medal honors with an 83 after a playoff with HLP’s Austin Jacobson. Sawyer Doocy of NSK won the medal with a round of 80.

For West Bend-Mallard, Banwart led the way with an 83, while Anthony Bruellman shot an 86. Jake Goodchild added a 93, while Greg Mader shot a 95. Chris Schmidt carded a 105, while Jake Umstead added a 111 to the effort for the Wolverines’ 357 stroke team total.

For Graettinger/Terril, Blaze Alesch led the way with a 93, while Ryan Schany carded a 94 and Cody Dyhrkopp added a 96. Mitch Girres shot a 105, while Zach Harris and Quinn Parker both turned in rounds of 112, giving the Knights a team total of 388.

For Ruthven-Ayrshire, Ryan Sikora led the way with his round of 101 and was followed by Logan Fischer with a 114, Dylan Fischer with a 119, Brecken Stukey with a 122 and Stephan Thompson with a 129 for the Raiders’ team total of 444.
