Wolverine Thinclads Continue To Run Well In Recent Outings
WEST?BEND – The Wolverines of West Bend-Mallard continue to improve their performances with strong efforts in track meets last week. On Tuesday, April 27, the Wolverine placed second at the Clint Stille E-Hawk Relays in Emmetsburg, and then finished fourth on Thursday at the John Larson Relays at Armstrong.
At Emmetsburg, the Wolverines got a first place finish in the 100 meter dash from Ethan Fehr with an :11.6 time, and the 4×200 relay, with Clay Douglas, Logan Streit, Tanner Bruellman and Ethan Fehr took first in 1:39.1 The Medley Relay, with Mitch Bonnstetter, Streit, Bruellman and Aaron Montag, also took first in a time of 4:04.4.
Jack Risenberg was second in the 3200 with an 11:12.6 time, while the 4×800 relay, with Aaron Montag, Dustin Johnson, Cody Hulbrich and Collin Thatcher took second in 9:35.30, while the 4×100 relay, with Ethan Fehr, Logan Streit, Tanner Bruellman and Mitch Bonnstetter was second in :47.6. Mitch Bonnstetter took second in the 400 dash in :56.0 and Ethan Fehr was second in the 200 dash in :24.7.
Clay Douglas earned a pair of third place finishes in the Long Jump by leaping 17’4.5” and in the 200 meter dash with a time of :25.0. Jack Riesenberg also place third in the 1600 meter run with a time of 5:17.4.
Douglas would also collect a fourth place finish in the 100 meter dash with his time of :11.9, while Mitch Bonnstetter took fourth in the Shot Put, throwing 40’6”. The Shuttle Hurdle Relay, with Jack Riesenberg, Ben Jacobson, Jordan Knobloch and Sean Riesenberg, took fourth in 1:12.7 and Sean Riesenberg was fourth in the 400 hurdles in a time of 1:06.9.
Jared Hauck took fifth in the 3200 meters with a time of 12:02, while Jack Risenberg was fifth in the 800 meter run in 2:24.2. The 4×400 relay, with Sean Riesenberg, Ben Jacobson, Aaron ?Johnson and Jordan Knobloch, also finished fifth in a time of 4:26 and Kurt Banwart earned sixth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:00.

On Thursday at Armstrong, the Wolverines finished in fourth place, led by the 3200 meter run victory by Jack Riesenberg with a time of 11:20.3.
The 4×200 relay, comprised of Ethan Fehr, Logan Streit, Tanner Bruellman and Mitch Bonnstetter, took a third place finish with their effort of 1:39.3 and the 4×100 relay, with the same lineup of runners, also finished third with a :47.7 clocking.
Mitch Bonnstetter also picked up a third place finish in the shot put competition, throwing the orb 37’11.25”.
Jared Hauck earned fourth place in the 3200 meter run with a time of 12:33, while Jack Riesenberg finished fourth in the 1600 meter run in 5:19.
The Shuttle Hurdle Relay, with Jack Riesenberg, Ben Jacobson, Jordan Knobloch and Sean Riesenberg was fourth in 1:13.4 and the Medley Relay, with Mitch Bonnstetter, Logan Streit, Tanner Bruellman and Aaron Montag, took fourth in 4:16.
In the 4×400, Kurt Banwart, Dustin Johnson, Ashton Fehr and Collin Thatcher took fourth in 4:04 and the 4×800 relay, with Cody Hulbrich, Dustin Johnson, Collin Thatcher and Aaron Montag, finished fourth with a time of 9:48.
Rounding out the fourth place finishes was Sean Riesenberg, who ran the 400 low hurdles in a time of 1:06.
Ben Jacobson would cap off the day for the Wolverines, as he finished the 400 meter hurdles in a time of 1:07.
