Ruthven-Ayrshire Golfers Host Clay Central-Everly
RUTHVEN – The Mavericks of Clay Central-Everly swept Ruthven-Ayrshire’s boys and girls golf squads in a dual Tuesday at the Spencer Municipal Golf Course.
In the girls match, CCE-edged Ruthven-Ayrshire by a 254-262 tally. Ruthven-Ayrshire’s Makenzie Fay and Clay Central-Everly’s Kari Kahl shared the medal honors as both golfers shot rounds of 60.
Other scoring for the Raider girls included a 65 from Kara Gerdeman and a 66 stroke round by Megan Alexander. Kendra Feldman turned in a round of 71 and Kayla Dyer shot a 73 to round out the scoring.
In the boys dual, Ruthven-Ayrshire fell to Clay Central-Everly by a 178-190 score. Brandon Full of Clay Central-Everly earned medal honors with a round of 41. Ruthven-Ayrshire’s Logan Fischer was the runner-up medalist with a round of 43.
Scoring for Ruthven-Ayrshire included a 48 for Ryan Sikora, a 49 from Brandon Stukey and a 50 by Trevor Halder. Brandon Long added a 55 and Dylan Fischer shot a 58.
The Ruthven-Ayrshire Junior Varsity boys also played, with Jayson Titus shooting a 63. Tyler Dyer added a 67 and Trevor Hagedorn shot a 73.
The Raider boys and girls will play Friday in the Palo Alto County Meet. Boys will play at Spring Hills in Mallard and the girls will play at the Five Island Golf Course in Emmetsburg.
