Lady E’Hawks Run Well At Pocahontas
POCAHONTAS – Emmetsburg’s Lady E-Hawks collected some excellent efforts and finishes at Tuesday’s Pocahontas Relays.
The Shuttle Hurdle Relay, with Nicole Leuer, Katie Malm, Jordan Morris and Blake Schany, won the event with a time of 1:09.22. Jordan Kerber would pick up a win in the 100 meter dash, as she finished with a :13.29 clocking.
Emmetsburg’s 4×200 relay, with Maddison Woodruff, Katie Malm, Kaity Degen and Morgan Vlasman, finished second with a 1:54.16 effort. Other placings for the Lady E-Hawks came from Jordan Morris, as she finished fifth in the 100 meters hurdles with a time of :17.51 and Nicole Leuer in the long jump, where she placed fifth with a leap of 14’2.25”. Rachael Moore earned a fifth place finish in the 1500 meter run with a time of 5:29.41, while Kaitlin Weisbrod took fifth in the 400 meter dash with a :69.73 effort and Morgan Vlasman finished sixth in the high jump, clearing 5’.
Other efforts for the Lady E-Hawks on Tuesday included a shot put throw of 28’3” for Hilary Pico, while the 4×800 relay, with Molli Schmeling, Tayler Bruns, Kristi Wurzer and Caroline Flom turned in a time of 11:49.09.
Aly Berven finished the 100 meter dash in tha time of :14.12, while Whitney Kibbie finished the 100 meter hurdles in a time of :17.7. Hannah Priest ran the 200 meter dash in :30.51, while Blake Schany ran the 400 hurdles in 1:11.93.
The Distance Medley Relay, with Shelby Brindley, Whitney Kibbie, Blake Schany and Rachael Moore, ran a 4:41.51 and the Sprint Medley, with Jordan Kerber, Nicole Leuer, Maddison Woodruff and Kaity Degen, ran a 1:59.44.
Tayler Bruns finished the 1500 meter run in a time of 6:09.45, while the 4×100 relay, with Jordan Kerber, Katie Malm, Maddison Woodruff and Nicole Leuer, turned in a :53.70 effort and the 4×400 relay, comprise of Shelby Brindley, Kaitlin Weisbrod, Molli Schmeling and Blake Schany, finished with a 4:32.57 clocking.
The Lady E-Hawks will return to action Friday afternoon at the ?Estherville Lincoln Central Girls Relays at Estherville.
