Wolverines Sixth At Prairie Valley

GOWRIE – West Bend-Mallard/Twin River Valley’s Wolverines earned a sixth place finish at Tuesday’s Prairie Valley Relays in Gowrie.

Leading the way for the Wolverines was Jack Riesenberg, who won the 3200 meter run in a time of 11:27.2

WBM/TRV’s Medley Relay, with Mitch Bonnstetter, Logan Streit, Tanner Bruellman and Aaron Montag claimed second place honors with their time of 4:10.0 and Jack Riesenberg earned third place honors in the 1600 meter run with a time of 5:26.4.

In the 100 meter dash, Ethan Fehr finished fourth with an :11.9 clocking while the 4×200 relay, with Fehr, Logan Streit, Tanner Bruellman and Mitch Bonnstetter, took fourth place as well with a 1:40.6 effort.

The 4×800 relay, with Aaron Montag, Dustin Johnson, Jared Hauck and Collin Thatcher took fifth place with a 10:14 effort, while Cody Hulbrich finished fifth in the 800 meter run with a 2:28 time.

The 4×100 relay, with Fehr, Streit, Bruellman and Bonnstetter, took fifth place with a :48.4 time and the shuttle hurdle relay, with Jack Riesenberg, Ben Jacobson, Jordan Knobloch and Sean Riesenberg, finish fifth with a 1:15.0 time.

Kurt Banwart placed sixth in the 400 meter dash with his time of 1:02 and the 4×400 relay, with Banwart, Jordan Knobloch, Collin Thatcher and Ashton Fehr, finished with a time of 4:15.

“I was very happy with our performance at this meet. We competed very will against some very good teams,”?noted WBM/TRV Coach Jerry Vanderhorst.

“Jack Riesenberg and the medley team both ran good races for us.”
