Lady Wolverines Win Maverick Relays
WEST?BEND – The Lady Wolverines of West Bend-Mallard/Twin River Valley won the team title at Friday’s Clay Central-Everly Invitational in Spencer, capturing top honors with 122 points.
First place individual awards went to Missy Abrahamson in the shot with a throw of 34’3 3/4” and the discus with a 117’6” efforts. Brooke Bennett won the 3000 meter run in a time of 12:43 and Kayla Banwart won the 400 meter dash in a time of :71.24.
Bailey Cavanaugh captured top honors in the 400 hurdles, running a :79,69 and Brooke Bennett won the 1500 meter run in 5:58.37 for the Lady Wolverines.
WBM/TRV’s 4×200 relay, with Jenny Auten, Megan Foth, ?Meredith Colins and Shayla Simms was first in 1:58.91 and the 4×100 relay, with Shayla Simms, Megan Foth, Kaley Lempke and Kenzie Grimm, also took first place with a :54.92 effort.
Kenzie Grimm finished second in the 100 meter dash with a :13.51 effort, while Kayla Banwart took second in the long jump, leaping 13‘2” and Erin Larsen was second in the 800 meter run with a 2:49.91 clocking.
The 4×800 relay, with Erin Larsen, Sarah Berte, Kaley Lempke and Kaylee Lanus took second with a 12:03.61 time, while the 10-flight shuttle hurdle relay was second with a 1:26.34. That relay is comprised of Bailey Cavanaugh, Jamie Klepper, Elsie How and Melanie Vote.
The Distance Medley, with Meredith Collins, Megan Foth, Wendy Grimm and Amanda Frieden, was second with a 5:01.08 clocking. The Sprint Medley, with Jenny Auten, Missy Abrahamson, Wendy Grimm and Amanda Frieden took second with a 2:08.72 and the 4×400 relay, with Missy Abrahamson, Erin Larsen, Kayla Banwart and Kaylee Lanus, placed second in a 4:51.79 time.
Haley Hiscocks was third in the shot put, throwing 28’4”, while Cassie Schneider was third in the 3000 meters with a 15:43.31 time. Shayla Simms finished third in the 200 meter dash with a :29.32 effort, while Melanie Vote was third in the 400 hurdles with a :94.81 effort and Cassie Schneider took third in the 1500 meter run in a time of 7:14.01.
Haley Hiscocks claimed fourth in the discus with a throw of 42’3”, while Wendy Grimm finished fourth in the long jump with a 12’4” leap. Amanda Frieden cleared 4’4” to place fourth in the high jump, while Kaley Lempke finished fourth in the 100 meter dash with a :13.91 clocking. Bailey Cavanaugh was fifth in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of :20.11 and Elsie How round out the efforts with a 100 meter hurdle time of :20.54.
