ARMSTRONG – A strong third quarter for the Graettinger/Terril Knights led to a 41-29 win over Armstrong-Ringsted on Friday night. The Knights used a 12-3 third quarter effort to spark them to their victory.

“A-R is always tough to beat at home,” noted GT?Head Coach Brent Dyhrkopp. “They have good size, shooters and ball handlers. We had our share of mistakes but we made up for it with great hustle.”

It was a defensive battle from the onset as the teams traded buckets, with the Knights leading 8-7 after the opening frame. The Knights gained a little breathing room in the second quarter, taking a 22-16 lead at the break.

Graettinger/Terril held Armstrong-Ringsted to just three points in the third quarter and then outscored the Mustangs 15-10 in the final frame to take the 41-29 win.

Beau Craig earned a double-double with 15 points and 10 boards. Cody Dyhrkopp had 14 points, four assists and five steals.

Colin Leiting led the Knights with 11 rebounds and chipped in six points of his own.

“We had our share of mistakes,”?Dyhrkopp admitted, “But we made up for it with great hustle.”

The Knights move to 2-1 overall with the win.
