Harriers Compete At Sheldon Invite
SHELDON – Emmetsburg’s Cross Country Teams earned a ninth and tenth place finish in the Sheldon Invitational on Tuesday afternoon. The E’Hawk Middle Schoolers also ran on Tuesday, and earned two medal placings.
For the Middle Schoolers, Hadley Egland and Taylor Reimer earned medals with their 10th and 11th place finishes. Egland finished with a 13:51 and Reimer turned in a 13:55. Rachel Ruddy finished 21st in 15:27, while Teegan Olson ran a 16:24 for 24th place and Maddison Reimer was 29th in a time of 17:41.
The Lady E’Hawk runners would finish tenth overall in the team standings on Tuesday.
Rachael Moore earned medal honors with a 14th place finish in 15:41, while Blake Schany was 48th overall with a time of 16:57, which also earned a medal. Caroline Flom finished in 63rd place with a time of 17:57, while Tayler Bruns wis 66th in 18:05 and Tacee Leebens finished in 72nd place with an 18:59 clocking.
The E’Hawk boys came home in ninth place in the varsity competition. Zach Overberg medaled for the E’Hawks, with his 17:36 clocking for a 43rd place finish. Chad Loomis would finished with an 18;21 time for 58th place, while Allen Dunnick was 64th with an 18;44 clocking.
Jared Janssen finished 68th with a time of 19:26, while Max Jones finished with a 21:46 for 76th place and Daniel Pelzer was right behind with a 21:49 for 77th place.
The Emmetsburg Cross Country teams will run again on Monday when they travel to the Whittemore Country Club for the Algona Invitational at 5 p.m.
