By Staff | Jun 11, 2009

The Emmetsburg E’Hawk Basketball Camp for boys completing grades three through 11 will begin Monday, June 22, and runs through Thursday, June 25 at the Emmetsburg High School Gym.

Emmetsburg Boys Basketball Coach Mike Brennan will head up the camp and will be assisted by Assistant E’Hawk Coach Phil Geelan.

The E’Hawk Basketball Camp has served as a major fundamental development tool for E’Hawk players over the year. This camp has helped the Emmetsburg boys basketball program emerge as one of the state’s premier defensive teams. Over the past 10 seassons, Emmetsburg E’Hawk basketball teams have averaged over 15 wins per season.

The E’Hawks were District Champs in 2002, District Champs in 2005, Sub-State Champions in 2005, State QuarterFinalists in 2005, District Champs in 2006 and Lakes Conference Champions in 2007.

As always, the camp stresses both the offensive and defensive fundamentals of the game of basketball. The camp will be set up in three divisions. Students completing grades nine through 11 will meet from 8 to 10 a.m., while sixth through eighth graders will meet from 10 to 12 noon and students finishing third through fifth grade will meet from 1 to 3 p.m., with all sessions in the Emmesburg High School gym.
