Raiders Fall to Pocahontas Area

RUTHVEN – It was a tough night on the road for the Ruthven-Ayrshire Raiders on Monday. The Raiders came up short in an 11-1 loss to Pocahontas Area/Pomeroy-Palmer at Pocahontas.

The Raiders would come up with just two hits in the game, including a home run shot by Carl Jensen, who also had a base hit.

Mark Geelan would be tagged with the loss on the hill for the Raiders, as he went four innings and gave up five runs off eight hits, with four strikeouts. Ryan Sikora came in to relieve for the final three innings and surrendered two runs off five hits, while earning five strikeouts in the final tally.
