G/T Boys Come Up Short In Opener

CRYSTAL LAKE – Graettinger/Terril’s Knights struggled defensively in their season opener against Corwith-Wesley-Luverne Thursday.

CWL?claimed a 10-5 win over the Knights as part of the Woden-Crystal Lake-Titonka Early Bird Tournament.

The Knights’ pitching staff gave up four hits, but eight walks surrendered by the Knights, and a half-dozen errors would give the Panthers a boost on their way to the win.

Taylor Harris took the start on the hill and pitched two innings, earning four strikeouts and issuing six walks, with two hits.

Taylor Dalen relieved for the final three innings, collecting five strikeouts, with a pair of hits and a pair of walks.

Tanner Gunderson had a pair of hits while Mitch Girres and Jeremiah Andrews each added a hit and a walk.
