Raiders Close Out Track And Field Seasons
RUTHVEN – The track and field season came to a close Friday night for the Ruthven-Ayrshire girls and boys at the 1A meet in Laurens.
Sadie Forey was the lone entrant for the Raiders girls, and finished the 400 meters in a time of 1:22.60.
For the Raiders, Colton Bakken just missed a state qualification in the shot put, placing third with a throw o f45’11.5“, a career best.
Alan Japenga placed fifth in the 400 meter dash in :55.79 and seventh in the 200 meter dash with a time of :24.25.
Bradley Geelan earned a seventh place finish in the shot put with a heave of 42’2.50 and the Raiders’ 4×800 meter relay, comprised of Ryan Sikora, Trevin Enderson, Brandon Smith and Michael Sundall finished with a time of 9:47.36.
Other Raiders competing in the Boys 1A District track meet included Colton Bakken, throwing the discus 95’10”.
Ryan Sikora ran the 400 meter dash in :59.85 and then finished the 800 meter run in a time of 2:27.22.
Michael Sundall also ran in the 800 meter run, and finished with a time of 2:33.69.
Rounding out the events was the 4×400 relay team, comprised of Brandon Smith, Trevin Enderson, Bradley Geelan and Alan Japenga, who finished in a time of 4:01.34.
