Lady Wolverines Ninth At 1A District Golf Meet

WEST?BEND – The golf season came to a close Monday for the West Bend-Mallard Lady Wolverines at the 1A District meet at Twin Lakes Golf Club. The Lady Wolverines would place ninth in the teams standings with a 447 team score for their quartet of golfers.

Nicole Gearhart led West Bend-Mallard’s efforts with rounds of 53 and 51 for a 104 stroke total, while Natalie Forsythe added rounds of 58 and 52 for a 110 stroke total.

Erinn Studer shot rounds of 58 and 58 for a 116 and Mackenzie Banwart came away with rounds of 60 and 57 for a 117 total.

Alta would win the team title with a 367, while Southeast Webster was second with a 384. Odeboldt-Arthur shot a 384 for third place, based on a tie-breaker hole, while Battle Creek-Ida Grove shot a 404 to take fourth place.

Newell-Fonda shot a 407 for fifth place honors, while Rockwell City-Lytton was sixth with a 420. Southern Cal was seventh with a 424 and Laurens-Marathon was eighth with the 429.

After West Bend-Mallard’s 447, Storm Lake St. Mary’s was tenth with a round of 447.
