Raiders Compete Well At Sundall Relays

RUTHVEN – Ruthven-Ayrshire’s Raiders ran at Thursday’s Adam Sundall Relays in Algona and came home with several placings for their efforts.

Colton Bakken led the effort with a third place in the shot put from his 43’6” throw. The 4×800 relay, with Mark Langner, Trevin Enderson, Brandon Smith and Michael Sundall, picked up fourth place with a 10:11.57 clocking.

Bradley Geelan earned fifth in the shot put, throwing 42’7″, while Alan Japenga set a new seasons’ best mark in the 400 meter dash with his :55.57 time, which earned him a fifth place finish. Japenga also took fifth in the 200 meter dash with a :24.42 clocking, which was also a season’s best mark for him.

The Raiders’ 4×400 relay, Brandon Smith, Trevin Enderson, Bradley Geelan and Alan Japenga, took fifth in their race with a time of 4:06.29 and the 4×200 relay, with Smith, Geelan, Enderson and Michael Sundall, took sixth place honors with a time of 1:48.57.

Also competing on Thursday were Colton Bakken in the discus with a throw of 100’5“, and Jacob Evans with a discus throw of 70’2” and a 100 meter dash time of :18.87. Ryan Sikora ran the 400 meter dash in 1:00.6 and completed the 800 meter run in 2:33.25, while Michael Sundall finished the800 meters in 2:47.12.

Mark Langner ran the 1600 meters in a time of 5:34.06 and Ty Helmke finished the 1600 meters in 6:08.79. The final event for the Raiders was the Weight-mans’ 4×100 relay, where Jacob Evans, Bradley Geelan, Colton Bakken and Mark Langner finished with a :58.66 clocking.
