Wolverine Boys Run Well At Conference
ARMSTRONG – West Bend-Mallard/Twin River Valley’s Wolverines placed fourth in the boys Cornbelt Conference Tack Meet on Monday at Armstrong.
The Wolverines got a second place finish from Jack Riesenberg in the 3200 meter run and the 1600 meter runs on Monday. Riesenberg finished the 3200 meter run in 11:15.5 and the 1600 meter run in a time of 5:16.4
The 4×800 relay, with Collin Thatcher, Tom Putensen, Mitch Bonnstetter and Sean Riesenberg, also took second place with its time of 9:36.4.
The Wolverines got a fourth place finish from the Shuttle Hurdle Relay, comprised of Jack Riesenberg, Tom Putensen, Aaron Johnson and Sean Riesenberg, as the quartet finished with a time of 1:17.9
Also finishing in fourth place was the Medley Relay, with Clay Douglas, Logan Streit, Mitch Bonnstetter and Jack Riesenberg, with their 4:20.6 effort.
The 4×100 relay foursome of Clay Douglas, Logan Streit, Sean riesenberg and Mitch Bonnstetter, earned a fourth place finish with a time of :49.34.
Rounding out the fourth place finishes was Clay Douglas in the long jump, as he came away with a leap of 17’11.25“.
The Wolverines also got a fifth place finish from the 3200 meter run as Jordan Knobloch finished in 12:53 and Collin Thatcher finished the 1600 meter run in a time of 5:26.8.
The 4×200 relay, comprised of Clay Douglas, Logan Streit, Sean Riesenberg and Mitch Bonnstetter, rounded out the finishes with a time of 1:42.2
“I was really pleased with our team effort,” noted WBM/TRV?Head Coach Jerry Vanderhorst. “The 4×800 group took 25 seconds off their time and Jack Riesenberg ran well all night. Our goal was a finish of fourth in the conference meet and everyone put forth a great effort.”
