Lady E’Hawks Third At Shery Maahs Relays
SPIRIT?LAKE — The Emmetsburg Lady E’Hawks earned a third place finish at Tuesday’s Sheryl Maahs Relays in Spirit Lake, finishing behind Spirit Lake Park and Algona.
The Lady E’Hawks got a first place finish from their 4×100 relay, which finished in :52.15, while the 4×400 relay finished in second place with a 4:19.89 clocking.
The Sprint Medley relay took second place in a time of :59.56, while the 4×200 relay earned second place in their event with a time of 1:48.87.
Nicole Leuer took second place honors in the long jump, as she came away with a leap of 14’3“. Nicole Leuer also placed third in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of :17.21, while Rachael Moore took third in the1500 meter run with a time of 5:21.21. Moore also turned in a time of 11:47.57 in the 3000 meter run to earn third place honors as well.
Jaymee Penrod placed third in the high jump, clearing 4’6″ and Kayla Herbers took third in the 200 meter dash with a :26.64 clocking. Blake Schany finished third in the 400 meter hurdles with her time of 1:12.81.
Jayme Penrod placed fourth in the 200 meter dash with a :28.88 time and Kaity Degen earned fourth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:03.65.
The Lady E’Hawks’ Distance Medley Relay would place fifth with a 5:33.6 time, while Molli Schmeling earned sixth place in the 800 meter run with a 2:58.50 clocking. Alyson Berven finished sixth in the 400 hurdles with her 1:17.82 time and Katelyn Schany finished the discus in sixth place with a throw of 94’3“.
Alex Lock placed seventh in the shot put with a throw of 30’9″, while Kaitlin Weisbrod was seventh in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:08.65 and Jordan Morris finished seventh in the 100 meter hurdles in :18.24.
