Lady E’Hawks Down LeMars, Claim Second In Conference

Emmetsburg’s Lady E’Hawk golfers claimed second place outright in the Lakes Conference girls golf standings with a 203-229 win over LeMars in conference golf action Monday night. Emmetsburg also claimed the medal and runner-up honors in the dual, golfed at the Five Island Golf Club.

Megan Myers would earn medal honors for Coach Ted Riley’s squad, as she turned in a 47 stroke round. Teammate Jana Hoch would come in a stroke behind with a 48 to take the runner-up honors. Other scores for Emmetsburg included a 52 for Jenny Hoch, Krista Peaslee with a 56, Ashley Pelzer with a 58 and Lauren Zimmerman rounding out the varsity scoring with a 72.

In the Junior Varsity match, Emmetsburg won by a 220-239 score. Leading the way for the JV girls was Hannah Drost with a round of 50. Emily Lowman shot a 58, while Amanda Pugh carded a 60. Hillary Pico recorded a 61, while Paige Naig shot a 64 and Amanda Walters rounded out the JV?effort with a 66.
