Raiders Run Well At Larson Relays
ARMSTRONG – The Ruthven-Ayrshire Raiders came up with a good efforts at Thursday’s Jon Larson Relays in Armstrong.
The Lady Raiders got a fourth place finish from Sadie Forey in the 400 meter dash as she turned in a 1:10.16 clocking, the season’s best time for Forey in the event. Forey would also turn in a seasons’ best time in the 400 hurdles, as she finished with a 1:21.83 clocking in the event.
Jessica Larson finished the100 meter dash in :15.12 and then ran the200 meter dash in :36.28, while Miranda McGrauth ran the 100 meter dash in :15.00 and the 200 meter dash in :35.94 to round out the girls efforts.
For the Raiders, Colton Bakken placed third in the shot put, throwing 40’8“, while Alan Japenga took third in the 400 meter dash with a :56.45 clocking.
The 4×800 relay squad, comprised of Mark Langner, Trevin Enderson, Brnadon Smith and Michael Sundall, also took third place with their effort of 10:05.74.
Bradley Geelan would place fourth in the shot put, throwing 40’1″ and Alan Japenga took fourth in the 200 meter dash with a :25.32 clocking.
The 4×400 relay, with Bradley Geelan, Trevin Enderson, Michael Sundall and Alan Japenga, took fourth place in a time of 4:11.72.
The Medley relay of Bradley Geelan, Alan Japenga, Michael Sundall and Brandon Smith took fifth place in a time of 4:39.63 and Ryan Sikora finished sixth in the 800 meter run with his time of 2:30.
The final placing of the day came from the 4×200 relay, as the foursome of Brandon Smith, Trevin Enderson, Bradley Geelan and Mark Langner finished sixth with their 1:47.55 time.
Other finishes for the Raiders on Thursday included Jacob Evans with a 61’11” discus throw and an :18.54 time in the 100 meter dash.
Colton Bakken threw the discus 65’10”, while Ryan Sikora finished the 400 meter dash in a time of :59.34. Ty Helmke ran the 1600 meters in 5:57.57, while Mark Langner ran the 800 meter run in 2:38.69.
The final entry for the Raiders was the “Weight Mans” 4×100 relay, with Jacob Evans, Bradley Geelan, Colton Bakken and Ty Helmke, as the foursome ran a 1:00.98 time.
The next action for the Raider boys and girls will be the Cornbelt Conference track meet this afternoon (Tuesday) at Armstrong.
