Emmetsburg Takes County Girls Golf Title

The Palo Alto County Girls Golf title will reside in Emmetsburg for the coming year following Friday’s County Golf Meet at the Five Island Golf Club.

Emmetsburg led the way with a 209 team score and was followed by West Bend-Mallard with a 246 and Ruthven-Ayrshire with a 289 stroke score. Graettinger/Terril did not compete on Friday.

Emmetsburg’s Jana Hoch led the effort with a round of 48 and was followed by her sister Jenny with a 49. Hannah Drost carded a 54, while Megan Myers added a 58. Krista Peaslee shot a 60 and Ashley Pelzer rounded out the effort with a 67.

For West Bend-Mallard, Nicole Gearhart and Erin Studer both shot rounds of 59 for the Lady Wolverines, while Mackenzie Banwart shot a 62 and Natalie Forsythe added a 66.

Ruthven-Ayrshire was led by the 4 of Kayla Dyer, why Kara Gerdeman shot a 74. Brooke Berger carded a 75 and Kendra Feldman rounded out the effort with a round of 76.
