E’Hawk Golfers Third At Okoboji, Graettinger/Teril Places Sixth

OKOBOJI – Emmetsburg’s E’Hawks earned a third place finish at Saturday’s Okoboji Invitational golf tourney. At the same tournament, the Graettinger/Terril Knights would place sixth out of the 10 team field.

Okoboji won the event with 320 strokes, while South O’Brien was second with 331. Emmetsburg was third with 343 strokes. Sibley-Ocheydan was fourth with 345 strokes, Pocahontas Area was fifth with a 259 and Graettinger/Terril placed sixth with a 364. Boyden-Hull was seventh with a 370, while Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn placed eighth with a 374, Harris-Lake Park was ninth with a 378 and Clay Central-Everly was tenth wit h a 416.

For Emmetsburg, Robbie Myers shot a 41 and 40 for an 81, while Ben McCain shot round of 44 and 40 for an 84. Tyler Kliegl had a 47 and 41 for an 88 and Matt Wellik carded a 39 and 51 for a 90. Matt Ballman had a 47 and 45 for a 92 and Ryan Kliegl shot rounds of 51 and 49 for a 100 stroke score.

For Graettinger/Terril, Jake Hoffman shot rounds of 45 and 43 for an 88, while James Tatman carded a 46 and 43 for an 89. Cody Dyhrkopp shot a 45 and 45 for a 90, while Kass Schany shot rounds of 48 and 49 for a 97. Zach Harris shot rounds of 51 and 51 for a 102 stroke total and Ryan Schany rounded out the scoring with rounds of 50 and 53 for a 103 total.
