E’Hawks Finish Second In Clint Stille Relays

Emmetsburg’s E’Hawks battled hard in their own Clint Stille E’Hawk Relays on Tuesday and earned second place with 135 points behind the 160 point effort of Algona.

Winning championships for the E’Hawks were Trevor Dettmann in the 110 high hurdles with a a :14.98 time and a long jump title with his leap of 19’9.5“. Lucas Thomsen won the shot put, throwing 46’3.25”. Emmetsburg’s shuttle hurdle relay rounded out the titles, taking first with a time of 1:00.25 for the quartet of Jake Morris, Justin Deford, Joey Naig and Trevor Dettmann.

JC?Rezabek earned second in the shot put with a throw of 45’11“, while Jared Janssen was second in the high jump, clearing 5’6”. Jacob Morris was second in the 110 high hurdles with a :15.51 time and also took second in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:00.35. and Justin Deford placed second in the 200 meter dash with a :23.39 effort. The E’Hawk 4×200 relay took second with a time of 1:35.26.

Cory Schultes placed third in the 100 meter dash with a :11.57 clocking and Keaton Carter was third in the 400 meter dash with a :54.92 time. Taylor Morris finished third in the long jump, leaping 19’3.25” and the 4×100 relay earned third with its time of :46.11.

Tommy Kuecker placed fourth in the 200 meter dash with a time of :24.08 and Lucas Thomsen took fourth in the discus, throwing 120’3″, while the 4×400 relay took fourth in the 3:37.30. The 4×800 relay placed fourth with a 9:27.97 clocking and the Distance Medley Relay placed fourth in a time of 4:03.74.

Chad Loomis finished fifth in the 3200 meter run with a 12:30.59 effort, while Austin Oppenheimer took sixth in the 400 meter hurdles with a 1:03.26 clocking. Bobby Gappa places sixth in the 800 meter run with a 2:19.78 time and Langston Jones finished seventh in the 100 meter dash with his :12.05 effort.

Jared Janssen finished eighth in the 800 meter run with a 2:20.37 time, while Chad Loomis was eighth in the 1600 meter run in a time of 5:35.18, while Tyler Henderson rounded out the placings for the E’Hawks with a tenth place finish in the discus, with a throw of 97’10“.

Emmetsburg’s JV?competed in the Class C divisions, collecting first place finishes from Brady Berkland in the 200 meter dash with a time of :24.75, and also placed first in the long jump, leaping 19’1.25″, while Joey Naig was first in the 110 high hurdles with a :15.78 effort. Ben Pelzer rounded out the first place efforts by taking the shot put with a throw of 41’2″.

Justin Studer placed second in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:22.48 and Carson Glasnapp was third in the discus, throwing 95′ and the 4×200 relay took third with a 1:44.71 time.

Kyle Elbert placed fourth in the 100 meter dash with a :12.59 time, and the 4×100 relay placed sixth with a :54.23 clocking.
