WBM/TRV?Girls Earn Third At Spencer

WEST?BEND – The Lady Wolverine Track and Field team earned third place honors at Friday’s Spencer Invitational.

Missy Abrahamson won the shot put with a 35’10” throw and Jennica Rupper was second with a 33’3″ throw, a personal best. Abrahamson also won the discus, throwing 106’6“, a new personal record and school record.

Brooke Bennett was second in the 3000 meters with a 12:21 and Michaela Grimm was second in the 100 meter dash with a :13.71 effort.

The 4×200 relay, with Shayla Simms, Megan Foth, Grimm and Laura Smith took second in 1:58.93, while the 4×100, with Simms, Abrahamson, Kaley Lempke and Grimm earned second with a :55.02 time.

The Sprint Medley, with Lempke, Abrahamson, Wendy Grimm and Amanda Frieden, set a new school record with their 2:03.21 time, good for third place. Amanda Frieden took third in the 400 meter dash with a :66.67, a new personal best. and Kaley Lempke took third in the 100 meter dash with a :14.07 time.

A fourth place finish came from the Shuttle Hurdle Relay of Bailey Cavanaugh, Shayla Simms, Elsie Howe and Madi Dahlhauser, with their 1:22.27 clocking. Jessica Abrahamson took fourth in the discus with a throw of 87’8″ and the Distance Medley, comprised of Megan Foth, Kaley Lempke, Wendy Grimm and Brooke Bennett, took fourth with their 5:07.23 clocking.

Michaela Grimm was fourth in the 200 meter dash with a :28.55 and Shayla Simms finished fifth with a :30.03.

The 4×400, with Foth, Smith, Sarah Berte and Frieden, finished fifth with a 5:05.09, while the 4×800 with Frieden, Berte, Haley Banwart and Sarah Eubank, took fifth in 12:27.01. Rounding out the finishes was Sara Foley with a 13:08 in the 3000 meter run, a personal best effort and Brooke Bennett in the 800 meter run with a 2:52.14, good for sixth place
