Raiders Giving Good Efforts In Meets

RUTHVEN – The Raiders of Ruthven-Ayrshire are giving good efforts in recent action on the track.

At the ELC?Relays last Friday, the Raiders got a second place from Colton Bakken in the shot put, throwing 43’11” and a fourth place from Bradley Geelan in the shot, throwing 41’1″. The 4×800 relay of Mark Langner, Trevin Enderson, Brandon Smith and Michael Sundall finished fourth with a 9:58.75.

Other efforts including Colton Bakken in the discus with a throw of 98’8” and Jacob Evans throwing 59’9″. Ty Helmke ran the 100 meters in :14.88 and finished the 800 in 2:31.

Al Japenga ran the 200 meters in :25.31 and the 400 meters in :58.25, while Bradley Geelan finished the 200 meter dash in :26.71. Michael Sundall ran the 400 meters in :59.95 and Brandon Smith ran the 400 hurdles in a time of 1:10.84.

At Tuesday’s Iowa Great Lakes?Invitational on Tuesday, the Raiders got a first place in the shot put from Colton Bakken with his 44’4” throw. Bradley Geelan was second in the shot With a 41’8″ effort and Alan Japenga took fourth in the 400 meters with a time of :57.75.

The 4×800 relay, Langner, Enderson, Smith and Sundall, took fourth with a 10:16.34 and Japenga would take fifth in the 200 meters in :25.03

The 4×400 relay, with Geelan, Enderson, Sundall and Japenga, was fifth in 4:06.11 and the 4×200, with Enderson, Helmke, Smith and Sundall, was sixth in 1:51.7

Jacob Evans threw the discus 59’7” and Colton Bakken threw the platter 98’7″. Brandon Smith ran the 100 meters in :12.88, while Ryan Sikora turned in a :58.66 in the 400 meter dash and finished the 800 meter run in a time of 2:24.68 for the Raiders.
