Lady Wolverines Take First At CCE?Relays

SPENCER – A first place finish was the result of the first outing of the season for the West Bend-Mallard/Twin River Valley girls track team. The Lady Wolverines won the CCE?Relays on Friday, April 3 with 114 team points.

First place finishes came from Missy Abrahamson in the shot, setting a new WBM and shared record with a throw of 37’2” and in the discus with a throw of 103’4″, a new shared record.

Brooke Bennett took first in the300 meter run with a 12:53.9 effort and in the 100 meter dash, Kaley Lempke took first in :13.46. Michaela Grimm was first in the 200 meter dash in :L@7.92 and Brooke Bennett took first in the 1500 meter run with a 5:55.35 clocking.

The 4×200 relay, with Grimm, Abrahamson, Megan Foth and Laura Smith, took first in a time of 1:59.06 and the 4×100 relay, with Shayla Simms, Abrahamson, Foth and Grimm, took first place with a :54.97 effort.

Jessica Abrahamson was second in the shot with a throw of 34’2.5” and second in the discus with a 95’7.5″ effort.

Sara Foley took second in the 3000 meters with a 13:35.4 time, and Amanda Frieden placed second in the 400 meter dash in a time of :66.8.

Michaela Grimm was second in the 100 meter dash in :13.51 and the Sprint Medley Relay unit, comprised of Jenny Auten, Jamie Klepper, Kaley Lempke and Laura Smith took second place honors with a 2:07.29 clocking.

Third place finishes went to Sara Foley in the 1500 meter run with a time of 6:15.53, while Sarah Berte took third in the 800 meter run with a 3:00.51 effort. Amanda Frieden also took third place in the high jump, as she cleared 4’4“.

The 4×800 relay, with Frieden, Berte, Haley Banwart and Sarah Eubank took third in a time of 11:51.88. The shuttle hurdle relay, comprised of Bailey Cavanaugh, Jamie Klepper, Elsie Howe and Madi Dahlhauser, took third with a 1:25.51 effort and the Distance Medley of Jenny Auten, Megan Foth, Wendy Grimm and Bailey Cavanaugh finished with a 5:25.74 for third place.

Also earning a third place finish was the 4×400 relay of Sarah Berte, Bailey Cavanaugh, Sarah Eubank and Amanda Frieden with their 5:01.09 clocking and Wendy Grimm took third in the200 meter dash with a time of :30.13.

Bailey Cavanaugh earned fourth in the 400 hurdles with an :85.59 effort. Wendy Grimm finished fourth in the long jump, leaping 12’11.5″, while Elsie Howe finished fourth in the 100 hurdles with a time of :20.63.

Shayla Simms finished fifth in the long jump, leaping 12’11” and then finished the 400 meter dash with a :71.97 clocking for fifth place to round out the placings for the Lady Wolverines.
