A former Emmetsburg E-Hawk football standout, has added another athletic championship to his resume’. UMD?was the decided underdog in the title game, but a 21-14 win over Northwest Missouri State University gave UMD?a perfect 15-0 season to go along with the Division II Crown.
For Lang, the title culminated his journey from a Graduate Assistant in 2006 to the Head Defensive Backs Coach for the championship season.
In that capacity, Lang coached three first Team Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference All Conference Defensive Backs, a 2nd Team DakTronics All-American Free Safety and a 3rd Team Associated Press Little All-American Free Safety.
Before joining UMD, Lang was a student assistant coach after being a three-year starter for the Buena Vista University Football team. He received his Bachelor of Arts in History in May 2006 from BVU.
