Four Named To All Tourney Team

OSAGE – It was a tough outing for the Emmetsburg/Armstrong-Ringsted/Ruthven-Ayrshire E’Hawks at Saturday’s Osage Duals. The E’Hawks would be shut out in dual action, but placed four wrestlers on the All-Tournament Team at the conclusion of the day.
The E’Hawks had Isaac Lundgren at 103 pounds, Joey Naig at 152 pounds, Jake Morris at 189 pounds and Adam Leuer, wrestling at both 215 and 285 pounds, earn All Tournament awards for winning all of their matches on the day.
In the first dual of the day, the E’Hawks faced the host Osage Green Devils, and lost by a 44-27 tally.

In their second dual, the E’Hawks took on the Independence Mustangs. The E’Hawks battled the Mustangs closely before Independence pulled away to take the 46-29 victory.

For the final dual of the tournament, the E’Hawks wrestled the Komets of Kasson-Mantorville, Minn. The E’Hawks and Komets would battle down to the end, but a pair of forfeits by the E’Hawks would seal the deal for the Komets with a 48-32 final score.

The E’Hawks face a busy week of action on the mats, as they journey to Sheldon tonight (Tuesday), weather permitting, for a make up Lakes Conference dual with Sheldon/South O’Brien and Cherokee. On Thursday, the E’Hawks will host Spirit Lake and Storm Lake in a conference double dual before they travel to Waterloo on Saturday to participate in the Waterloo Duals at Waterloo West High School.
