Knight Wrestlers Resume Action

GRAETTINGER – The Knight wrestlers of Graettinger/Terril earned a split in a double dual Tuesday night, downing Emmetsburg/AR/RA by a 43-34 score, but falling to Sibley-Ocheyedan by a 39-25 tally.

On Monday, the Knights defeated George-Little Rock 57-15 and Sioux Center 39-22, but lost to Spirit Lake Park 34-38.

“In both duals, the kids fought hard and we did a good job of fighting in all our matches,” noted Graettinger/Terril Head Coach Cody Alesch. “There was a lot of excellent wrestling Tuesday night and it was an atmosphere that really says a lot about the sport of Wrestling.”

The Knight will host their own Invitational Tournament this Saturday, Jan. 10, with action starting at 10:30 a.m. in the G/T High School gym.

The Knight will then host Alta and East Sac County on Thursday, Jan. 15, before wrestling in the Northwest Conference Tournament on Saturday, Jan. 17.
