Raider Girls Fall At Armstrong-Ringsted
RUTHVEN – The Raiders of Ruthven-Ayshire lost a tough decision to the Lady Mustangs of Armstrong-Ringsted Tuesday night by a 36-21 tally.
For the Ruthven-Ayrshire girls, Sadie Forey led the offense with eight points. Caitlyn Reed and Cassidy Smith both added four points, while Alesha Sikora had three points Shyanne Zaragoza had two points.
On the boards, Sadie Forey led the Raiders with nine rebounds, while Caitlyn Reed collected six boards.
“The girls struggled with turnovers in the game, as we finished with 23,” noted RA Coach Kelli Keefer. “The Raiders did a good job on the defensive end of the floor and offensively, the girls shot the ball more.”
However, consistency in the offense is a concern for Coach Keefer.
“The girls scored eight points in the first quarter and nine in the fourth quarter, but struggled in both the second and third quarters scoring only twp points each. This Friday we really need to put four quarters of offense together to get the first win of the season.”
