Volleyball Season Ends For Lady E’Hawks

The 2008 volleyball season came to a difficult close Tuesday night for Emmetsburg’s Lady E’Hawks. In a spirited match, Emmetsburg saw their season end in a 3-1 decision by Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn in Class 2A Regional Tournament play.

Emmetsburg ends the season with a mark of 1-7 in the Lakes Conference and 4-28 overall on the season. Emmetsburg fell in the first game by a 25-15 score, but came back to win the second contest of the match. In a back and forth battle, the Lady E’Hawks let game three slip away before HMS took a 10-0 lead in game four before Emmetsburg battled back but came up short to end its season.

Playing their final games as seniors for the Lady E’Hawks were Bailee Moore, Hannah Reichart, Mollie Smith, Kayla Herbers, Bridget Rouse, Jackie Barnes and Katelyn Schany.
