RA Raiders Shut Out

RUTHVEN – Meeting Armstrong-Ringsted in a district two matchup Friday night was a difficult experience for Ruthven-Ayrshire. The visiting Mustangs took a 70-0 win over Ruthven-Ayrshire, dropping the Raiders to 0-5 in the district and 0-7 on the year.

Ruthven-Ayrshire would gain 48 yards against the stingy AR defense, off 29 rushing plays. Shawn Molitor led the rushing with 13 carries for 44 yards, while Colton Bakken ran the ball eight times for 17 yards. Kyle Simington added three carries for two yards, while Brad Geelan lost nine yards off four carries and Mark Geelan lost six yards on one rushing attempt.

Brad geeland completed two of 10 passes for 31 yards with one interception and Mark Geelan completed three of eight passes for 31 yards to give RA a total of 62 yards through the air.

Mark Langner caught four balls for 41 yards and Mark Geelan had one catch for 20 yards.

Brad Geelan and Shawn Molitor each had six tackles for the Raiders.

Ruthven-Ayrshire faces the challenge of traveling to Graettinger/Terril on Friday.
