Emmetsburg High School’s Freshman football team is enjoying a successful season, with a 6-0 start to their season.

According to Freshman Coach Tyler Beving, the offensive line for the freshmen has been outstanding so far through the season.

The O line has been a major part of our success.

Leading the way behind the line has been quarterback Ryan Kliegl, working with a talented backfield. The backfield is comprised of Brady Berkland, Marcus Akridge and Alex Hamerlinck. The passing game has also been a potent threat for the young E’Hawks, with the receiving corps of Jacob Carlson, Brady Berkland, Marcus Akridge and Michael Wolff.

“The defense has been relentless. No matter what they are up against they step up and make things happen,” Beving noted. “These are great kids that are very coachable and hard workers. They have improved their knowledge of the game and improved every week of the season.”
