Kauffman Inducted Into Edinboro Hall Of Fame
Bob Kauffman a former E’Hawk wrestler was inducted into the Edinboro College Athletic Hall of Fame on April 26 in Edinboro, Pennsylvania.
In the induction ceremonies, Bruce Baumgartner, Director of Athletics at Edinboro and four time Olympic wrestling medalist said that “Bob made his mark on wrestling.”
Baumgartner continued, “This class is very indicative of the type of quality inductees in the Edinboro Athletic Hall of Fame has stood for through the years. The individual has brought distinction to themselves, our athletic department and our University during their career.”
Bob Kauffman was a transfer student from Iowa who wrestled at 150 lbs. for the Fighting Scots. He won the NCAA Division II national championship in 1986 and was just one of five wrestlers to ever win this title.
A native of Emmetsburg, Bob wrestled under coach Bob Roethler and was a two time state place finisher winning the state championship in 1981.
Bob is the son of Pat Kauffman and the late Don Kauffman.
He currently resides in Fountain Hills, Arizona with his wife Julie and their three children. Bob continues to stay involved in youth wrestling programs as his two sons wrestle. He is currently a partner with his brother Dan (another two time state wrestling champion) in Kauffman Homes and Real Estate and Avenue of the Fountains Executive Suites. Bob is also the owner of Advacoat Concrete Floor Coating.
