Over 50 Golf Tour Results

Recent play in the Over 50 Golf Tour has had several area golfers earning flight wins and special honors.

Play at the West Bend Country Club on May 19 saw Keith Harnden of Emmetsburg shoot a 38 and win closest to the pin on the second hole with his first shot. Jim Goodchild had the closted shot to the pin on the second shot on the fifth hole at 309 yards and shot a 45, while Leonard Leslein of Curlew tallied the longest putt on hole number nine and shot a 55.

At West Bend, Robert Meyer of Emmetsburg won the first flight with a 41 and Hugh Neary took top honors in the sixth flight with a round of 57.

In action at the Wild Rose Golf Course on May 27, Jim Goodchild of Emmetsburg won the fourth flight with a score of 48.

On June 2, the tour rolled into the River Road Golf Club at Algona. Keith Harnden of Emmetsburg woul dwin the first flight with a round of 41 and Gene Forey of West Bend would take the top honors in the fourth flight, turning in 50.
