Raider Thinclads Compete At CCE Relays
The Ruthven-Ayrshire boys and girls track teams competed last Friday at the Clay Central-Everly Relays in Spencer and came away with satisfying performances.
For the Lady Raiders, a fifth place finish was the end result of their efforts in the team race on Friday.
Sadie Forey earned a second place finish in the 400 meter Hurdles, turning in a time of 1:18.29, and then earned a third place finish in the 400 Meter Dash with a time of 1:10.09.
Caitlyn Reed earned a fourth place finish in the 400 meter dash, turning in a time of 1:16.04 and the 4×100 Relay, comprised of Keely Williamson, Jessica Larson, Caitlyn Reed and Sadie Forey, finished fourth with a time of 1:02.1 to round out the placings.
Additionally, Jessica Larson turned in a :16.28 effort and Keely Williamson finished with a :16.52 time in the 100 Meter Dash.
The Raider boys finished in fourth place at Spencer on Friday.
Leading the way was Bradley Geelan in the Shot Put, throwing 41’6” for a second place finish. colton Bakken took third in the Discus with a throw of 94’3″, while the 4×400 relay, with Bradley Geelan, Trevin Enderson, Ryan Sikora and Michael Sundall, finished third with a time of 4:11.01 and the 4×100 relay, with Kevin Smith, Mitch Schneider, Brandon Smith and Zach Loring, also took third place with a :55.53 clocking.
Michael Sundall finished in fourth place in the 400 Meter Dash with with a time of 1:01.94, while Colton Bakken took fourth in the Shot Put, throwing 38’6″.
The 4×800 relay, with Ryan Sikora, Zach Loring, Brandon Smith and Michael Sundall, took fourth place with a time of 10:31.31 and the 4×200 relay, with Bradley Geelan, Brandon Smith, Kevin Smith and Ryan Sikora, took fourth with a time of 1:51.22.
The Distance Medley Relay, with Ryan Sikora, Kevin Smith, Bradley Geelan and Michael Sundall, took fourth with a 4:25.78 and the final placing came from Trevin Enderson in the 400 Meter Dash, where he turned in a time of 1:02.25.
In the 100 Meter Dash, Calvin Pomeroy rand a :15.53 and Mitch Schnieder ran a :15.18 and in the 200 Meter Dash, Zach Loring turned in a :30.38 and Calvin Pomeroy ran a :33.09.
