GT Girls End Season With Loss

By Staff | Feb 12, 2008

GRAETTINGER – There will be no title defense for the Knights of Graettinger/Terril this year, as their season came to a close Thursday night. The Knights fell to Armstrong-Ringsted by a 49-40 score.

“Our defense played solid throughout the game,” noted Co-coach Roger Conway. “In the second half, the girls started to attack the basket at the offensive end of the court. We were down by 17 points at the half, but cut their lead to three points with four minutes to go in the game.”

Graettinger/Terril was led by Theresa Peterson’s 27 point effort in the contest. Tasha Neilson and Amanda Oleson both scored four points and Malorie Girres scored three points while Liz Sparks had two.

“I’m really proud of the girls,” Conway said. “The girls shows much character, work ethic, discipline and a no-quit attitude all season.”
