Graettinger/Terril Knights Defeat Armstrong-Ringsted
TERRIL – Graettinger/Terril’s Knights came up with some key shots when they needed them to outlast Armstrong-Ringsted in a 36-31 contest Tuesday night.
The Mustangs took an early 8-5 lead after the first quarter, but the Knights came back to tie the game at 15-15 at the intermission. Graettinger/Terril then edged out to a 24-23 lead at the end of the third quarter and would get some steals in the final quarter to preserve the five-point, 36-31 win.
For the Knights, Cody Dyhrkopp and Tyler Leiting both scored 15 points, while Drew Skattebo added six points.
“We weren’t very sharp against AR, but luckily, we were able to hang in there and have a chance to win,” admitted G/T Heach Coach Brent Dyhrkopp. “We got better as the game went on and executed things much better in the fourth quarter. We were able to get the ball inside and score in the fourth quarter, come up with some timely steals and hit enough free throws to get the win.”
The Knights will host North Sentral Kossuth on Friday.
