RUTHVEN – Cold shooting would spell the difference for the Raider girls of Ruthven-Ayrshire in a 45-28 loss to Corwith-Wesley-LuVerne Friday night.

The Raiders played CWL to a 6-9 tally at the end of the first quarter, but trailed 23-9 at the half. CWL led 33-20 after three quarters before falling 45-28.

Chelsey Reed would lead the scoring with nine points, while Cassidy Smith added eight points. Lynn Geelan had six points, while Ashley Forey and Sadie Forey both added two points to the effort.

“We played well but couldn’t buy a bucket,” noted RA Head Coach Jon Josephson. “The girls played aggressive and effective defense.”
