Wolverines Fall To Rockwell City-Lytton

WEST BEND — The Rockwell City-Lytton boys defeated West Bend-Mallard’s Wolverines in a 49-28 decision Thursday night.

The Wolverines struggled with their shooting against the Wildcats in the contest, trailing 15-5 at the end of the first quarter, but managed to fight back to trail by eight points, 22-14 at the intermission. Rockwell City-Lytton led 36-16 at the end of the third quarter as West Bend-Mallard went ice-cold in the third quarter, and managed to score 12 points in the final stanza, but it was too little, too late as the Wildcats took the 49-28 victory.

For West Bend-Mallard, Travis Goeders led the way with1 4 points. Wyatt Wirtz added five points while Matt Ruppert came up with four points. Darin Banwart and Ross Bruns both scored two points and Tyson Wirtz came away with one point.
