Knights Fall At H-LP
LAKE PARK – It was a tough night for the Graettinger/Terril Knights on Tuesday as they fell to Harris-Lake Park by a 48-28 score. The Knights fall to 2-3 in their division and 2-6 overall on the season.
“It was a very frustrating night for us,” admitted GT Head Coach Brent Dyhrkopp. “HLP really covered us on both offense and defense.”
The Knights and Wolves played evenly in the first quarter, with the Knights trailing 9-6 at the end of the first frame, but in the second period, the Wolves started edging away from GT, outscoring the Knights 19-11 to post a 28-17 lead at the intermission.
In the third quarter, Harris-Lake Park continued to put up their stingy defense and tough offense against the Knights. Graettinger/Terril was only able to score two points in the third quarter, as the Wolves simply shut GT down cold, but their offense wasn’t much stronger, scoring just six points of their own for a 34-19 lead to start the final quarter.
In the final quarter, however, Graettinger/Terril would finally get a few buckets, but the Wolves added 14 points to their tally to take the 48-28 final margin of victory Knights.
For Graettinger/Terril, Dalton Perrin led the offense with 11 points, while Cody Dyhrkopp managed eight points. Tyler Leiting added three points, while Drew Skattebo, Taylor Lloyd and Beau Craig all added two points to the final tally.
Dalton Perrin pulled down seven rebounds and made three assists, as did Eric Hatland, while Tyler Leiting and Cody Dhyrkopp both had two steals.
