HULL - Emmetsburg's E-Hawks ended their season on the hard wood Saturday night in a 90-62 loss to Western Christian in Class 2A District Semi-final action. The loss ends Emmetsburg's season with a mark of 8-15.
The E-Hawks would have a tough time getting their offense on track against the Wolfpack, as Western Christian took a 13-0 lead in the first 3:30 of the contest before Emmetsburg got a bucket from senior Erik Drost to break the goosegg. After that, the E-Hawks would battle to trail 25-10 at the end of the first.
Western Christian would start draining three-point shots in the second quarter, using the barrage to outscore Emmetsburg 28-19 to take a 53-29 lead at the Intermission.

The third quarter would be a repeat of the second quarter, as the Wolfpack continued to drop three-point shots, but Emmetsburg fought hard to stay in the contest, and trailed 78-42 at the end of the third frame.
The contest would finish under the 35-point continuous clock rule, as Western Christian would go on to claim the 92-60 win over Emmetsburg.
The E-Hawks would get four players in double figures, with seniors Erik Drost and Austin Krause both scoring 12 points each, while freshman Thomas Schultes also tallied 12 points. Senior Mike Myers added 10 points to the effort, while Max Dunlap chipped in nine points. Zach Anderson came off the bench to add three points and senior Steven Huang tallied two points.
