Harriers Compete At ELC Invitational

ESTHERVILLE?- It was nother solid effort for the Emmetsburg Cross Country teams as they competed in Tuesday's Estherville Lincoln Central Cross Country Invitational.

The Lady E-Hawk varsity would give another strong performance on Tuesday, anchored by Ashley Overberg's new personal record of 16.31, which gave her 10th place overall. Tara Harris also set a new personal record with a 16.59 finish for 18th place.

Taylor Reimer would finish 34th with a time of 17.41 and Jordan Hoyman set a new personal record with her time of 17.55, good for 37th place.

Rachel Ruddy also set a new personal record time with her 18.40 clocking, which was good for 46th place, while Jordan Lange set a personal record with her 19.03 time which was good for 48th place.

Rounding out the varsity effort was Queen Mukami, who finished 55th overall with a time of 20.31.

The E-Hawk varsity boys had a record-setting outing on Tuesday, as every member of the seven-member squad set a new personal record at ELC.

Nick Grandstaff would finish 12th with his time of 18.12, while Carson Clark finished 28th with his time of 19.52. Daniel VanOosbree would turn in a time of 21.03, good for 42nd place, while Cole Jackson celebrated his birthday with a 45th place finish in 21.33.

Lane Smith placed 49th with a time of 22.14, while Dalton Hauschen finished 51st with his time of 23.47 and Will Jackson celebrated his birthday as well with a 24.24 time, good for 52nd place.

The Lady E-Hawk junior varsity girls would finish second, paced by newcomer Alexa Naig, who ran an 18.49 in her first meet of the season and finished fourth overall.

Shelby Loomis was 14th with a 19.27 time, while Caroline Fantz finished 23rd with a time of 20.10.

Alison Gould earned 31st place in a time of 20.54, while Alli Enriquez earned 33rd place with her 21.47 clocking.

Kiersten Aldous would finish in 36th place with a 22.47 time, while Charlotte Wolden was 46th in 26.08 and Ema Enriquez finished 48th in 28.40.

For the Junior Varsity boys, Jas Jamison earned 15th place with a personal record time of 21.37. Connor Crosgrove also set a new personal record with his time of 23.36, good for 37th place.

Dillon VanOosbree would finish in 48th place with a 25.01 time, while Michael Clasing earned 51st place with his time of 25.50 and ?Caige Elbert rounded out the efforts with a 55th place finishing time of 27.07.

Also running on Tuesday where the Emmetsburg Middle School runners, as Courtney Wurzer finished 10th with a time of 14.56 and Zach Mason finished ninth with a time of 13.41.

Emmetsburg will competed in the Ridge View Invitational this Saturday in Holstein, and will return home on Monday to host the E-Hawk Invitational Cross Country meet at the Five Island Golf Course. Action for Middle School runners will start at 4:30 p.m. with JV and Varsity meets to follow.
