HULL - The titan girls of Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire gave Trinity Christian of Hull a tough battle but came up short in a 48-43 loss Tuesday, Dec 18.
GT/RA was a point down, 8-7, after the first quarter of action in Hull but tied the contest at 32-32 when the intermission rolled around. But in the second half, the Tigers of Trinity Christian managed to edge away from the Titans with a 17-6 run midway through the quarter to post a 39-28 lead at the end of the frame.
However, GT/RA would fight their way back to outscore the Tigers 15-9 in the final period, but couldn't get over the hump to take the win.
Lauren Flaharty led the Titans with 15 points and four steals. Brooke Hoffman added a dozen with five rebounds and three steals. Marley Bakken chipped in 10 points and grabbed nine rebounds.
Grace Skattebo, Morgan McGrauth nd Emily Moran all scored two points each and Cassy Hampson and Grace Skattebo each dished out three assists to their teammates.
Graettinger-Terril/ Ruthven-Ayrshire falls to 3-5 overall with the loss.
